AL Best Hitter Trophy Goes to Pujols

Saturday, June 1st, 2013

Albert Pujols received the American League Batter of the Month trophy earlier today for his efforts at the plate this last month.

“He might be getting older,” Los Angeles‘s manager told reporters, “But he’s been around long enough to know what it takes to put a stretch such as this together… and he doesn’t keep that to himself. To win the honor Pujols put up a .310 batting average, 10 home runs, 28 RBIs and scored 27 times in May.

This season Pujols is batting .301 with 66 hits, 16 home runs, 49 RBIs, .392 OBP and has scored 42 runs.

I know the team has issues, but look around the Major League Daily Sim Baseball League and show me a team that doesn’t.”
