The St. Louis Cardinals concluded the season in grand fashion — they won the Major League Daily Sim Baseball League World Series. They nailed it down at Fenway Park by whipping the Boston Red Sox 5-4 to win it all. They took the series 4-2.
Their motto for the season was “Win or Die Trying.”
“They never let up and they never stopped trying the whole season,” the Cardinals manager proudly told reporters. “They hustled and fought the whole season and it continued in the playoffs. They are a very special bunch of guys.”
To get their 1st MLDSB league crown, the Cardinals finished the regular season in the National League Central Division with a 91-71 record, ending up in first place in the division standings.

Showing no signs of improvement on July 3 the Red Sox shipped the face of the team, Dustin Pedroia, to Seattle in exchange for Jose Altuve and Ji man Choi, their current number 4 prospect. Altuve has posted an .893 OPS while Choi has a more modest .772 OPS in AAA Pawtucket.
